Newly elected Taoiseach Brian Cowen will be visiting Birr as part
of his big homecoming welcome next weekend. Mr Cowen is due to
arrive in Birr at 4p.m. where he will be welcomed in Emmet Square.
There will be music and festivities to welcome the new Taoiseach
and Mr Cowen will address the crowd from a platform in the Square.
Everyone is welcome to come along and give a big Birr welcome to
the new Taoiseach.
